Camper Trailer Australia and sister publication Caravan World have a brand new home after Adventures Group Holdings Pty Ltd (Adventures) took ownership from global publishing giant, Bauer Media on December 1.
The new Adventures portfolio includes these well-respected mastheads and websites plus Travelin.com.au, Turu.com.au and TradeRVs.com.au
Adventures chief executive Rob Gallagher said great content would be the defining feature of the new business.
“The Adventures business is steeped in tradition but will not be a traditional publisher,” Gallagher added. “The new ownership group is genuinely excited by the opportunity to work in a field they’re passionate about – and to also learn the business of media and content from the great team already in place.”
Key CTA personnel including Senior Editor Laura Gray, Field Editor Michael Borg, and Deputy Editor Rachael Doherty will continue their work on the brands, as well as the reviewers, writers and contributors that CTA readers have come to know and love.
Senior Editor Laura Gray said she was excited to help take the magazine into the future and to see it flourish in an environment where it is surrounded by like-minded travel publications and enthusiasts.
"CTA has always been, and will always be, written by campers for campers," Gray said. "It occupies a special place in the hearts of many campers around Australia who turn to CTA for expert advice and genuinely authentic and independent camper trailer reviews. That's not something we take lightly and it's something we plan to enhance even further going forward."
Tough, independent camper trailer reviews with legitimate scores and ratings from some of Australia's most-respected campers; spectacular travel features, photography, videos; expert technical advice and the news and views from industry icons such as Ron and Viv Moon and John 'Roothy' Rooth will remain major hallmarks of the magazine.
There will be no effect on current CTA subscribers, who will continue to receive their magazines through Magshop. New subscribers are also welcome to buy a print or digital subscription to CTA through Magshop or sign up to the weekly CTA newletter.
Adventures is an Australian-owned and operated brand and CTA will continue to be published and printed right here in Australia.
